The beautiful track of Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) hosted the 2nd GP Off-road buggy and truggy. The weather threatened rain, but for the three days it was cloudy but rain-free, leaving the track in excellent condition for competition. Over 30 drivers from all over Brazil attended, along with American Kris Moore.

There was a great battle between the two categories in Buggy; the struggle was between the American Kris, and one of the best Brazilian drivers Heitor Nougeira with his XRAY XB808. At the end the many years of experience prevailed and Kris Moore got TQ and won 1st place, while Heitor Nogueira claimed 2nd place with his XRAY XB808.

The Truggy category was the domain of Raniero Bassi and his XT8 â“ XRAY retailer in Brazil â“ who lead all qualifiers and won the race. Following him in 2nd was Marcello Chianello with his XT8.
